The University of Bern believes that learning is a dynamic process that continues throughout every phase of life. With transfer-oriented offerings, the University makes it possible for several different target groups to engage in lifelong learning and gives them access to research-based knowledge.

As the central point of contact for lifelong learning at the University of Bern, the Lifelong Learning Center combines the transfer-oriented offerings of continuing education, the Children’s University, courses for high school students and the Senior Citizens’ University under one roof. It promotes interdisciplinary exchange and networking for lifelong learning, fixes and reflects the subject in all its activities, implements specific initiatives to promote a culture of lifelong learning and supports the University of Bern’s standing as a leading provider of lifelong learning in the region.
